In February 2022, we recommended that Open Philanthropy make a grant of $118,000 to Sightsavers. Sightsavers expects to use this grant to pay for staff costs, consultant fees, and meetings as part of gathering information about funding gaps for deworming in Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, and Sudan. Depending on the results of this scoping work, Sightsavers may submit proposals for funding to GiveWell by the end of 2022.
