How we found applicants describes the process by which we invited organizations to apply for grants in all five of our causes. We invited 107 to apply within our international causes (
saving lives and

saving lives and 4 in the cause of
global poverty.
We devote one page to each of our finalists, going in depth on what we know about the organization and its activities, to give a better sense of where the claims in our
overview come from. Four of our finalists essentially withdrew from our application process, so all four of them are presented on a
single page.
